A day after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s journey by train to meet farmers in Punjab, Haryana Cabinet Ministers Anil Vij and Ram Bilas Sharma took pot shots at the Congress leader. Haryana Health Minister Vij who continues to remain in the limelight due to his words and working style, in a tweet said, “After looking at the pictures of Rahul Gandhi sitting in a train like a terrified and scared child, which appeared in today's (Wednesday) newspapers, it appears like a child had run away from his home.”
Gandhi had travelled in a general compartment of the Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand express from Delhi to reach Ambala, bordering Punjab, on Tuesday evening, from where he drove to visit Sirhind grain market in Fatehgarh Sahib district. BJP MlA from Ambala Cantt., Vij had last month posted on Twitter, “Sonia’s visit to Haryana is only village tourism. Must have been feeling congestion after loss of power.” The comments were made after the visit of Congress president Sonia Gandhi to Haryana’s Bhiwani district to meet the farmers in the month of March. Meanwhile, Sharma while taking a jibe at Gandhi, said that a visit to one grain market will not solve any problem.
