Haryana Govt to develop Adi Badri Heritage Board

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar on Monday announced that the State Government would ensure development of Adi Badri Heritage Board so as to further increase the importance of Adi Badri, the starting point of the  mythical Saraswati River.

The Chief Minister while addressing his first public meeting of Sadhaura Assembly constituency near Yamunanagar on Monday said that the Government has already constituted Adi Badri Heritage Board and will ensure its progress in right direction.He also announced to start the excavation of Saraswati River which is also the biggest work for the area.

Endorsing that a memorial be made in the memory of Sikh military commander Banda Singh Bahadur, also known as Banda Bairagi (October 1670 - June 1716), the Chief Minister said, “I will like that a memorial be made here in the name of Banda Bairagi and the Government will support the same.”

He also announced a slew of incentives for the people of Sadhaura Assembly segment including laying of sewerage line, a Government polytechnic, a sports stadia, expansion of State Roadways facilities, setting up of 66 KV sub-station at Rasulpur, upgradation of existing CHCs of Bilaspur and Mustafabad to 50 bedded, college at Bilaspur, new bus stand for Saraswati Nagar and laying of sewerage line there.

Referring to his association with the area, Manohar lal said that he had spent maximum time of his social life in this area. “I am very well versed with the problems  of this area as I had spent seven years here from 1984 to 1991.”

He said that he had selected to start his public meetings from Sadhaura as no Chief Minister has visited Sadhaura during the last 13 years. Earlier, when a Chief Minister visited Sadhaura was in the year 2002. Now we will ensure overall development giving priority to the requirement of area people.”

Expressing concern over the menace of corruption prevailing in Government set up, the Chief Minister made it clear that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost. It has been in the system with the collusion of leaders, officers and officials, he added.

Referring to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra, ‘Na Khaunga-Na Khane dunga’ (neither will I take bribe nor will I allow anyone to take bribe), he assured that being a Chief Minister, his partly leaders would never involve in corruption.

The CM added that the Government had enough resources to carry our progress without levy of new taxes provided that the amount fixed for the same could be utilised in a proper and transparent manner.

He said that the State Government will start recruitment which would be based on merit.  Apart from this, loans would be provided at cheaper rates to youth for self employment in the areas of milk production, bee-keeping, fisheries and poultry farming etc, he added.
