The people of Jharkhand have started believing in State Government once again. The apathetic image of government bodies has changed a lot in recent times. These were the words of Chief Minister Ragubar Das while he addressed the gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party office-holders at his residence on Sunday.
“Changing the system takes time. Change in power will not be able to achieve this goal overnight. There are some shortcomings which will be overcome shortly. The results of efforts made in this direction will show as time passes, but patience from public is required,” Das said during the State-District Office-bearers Congregation.
Around 100 party members attended the congregation and submitted more than 200 suggestion letters for the attention of the CM. Emphasising on the need to curb corruption in state, Das said that awareness is key in this direction. “Any complaints should be supported with adequate proof. Strict action will be taken within 24 hours of receiving any complaints of corruption,” he said.
He further added, “As per suggestions from party workers, a system will be developed for holding Janta Darbar in districts. Also, for strengthening the communication channel between government and party organisation, regular meetings will be held after every three months.” Enumerating government’s plans for welfare of people of state, Das stated that concrete steps have been taken in the direction of electricity, roads and irrigation. He also announced a Skill Development Department to overlooking skill-oriented training for the youth of Jharkhand. Work will begin shortly on medical college and Nilambar Pitambar University in Palamu, Das indicated.
Talking to the media persons, state BJP president Ravindra Rai stated, “Party will support AJSU to the best of its abilities in the upcoming lohardaga by-polls. A five-member committee has been formed, which will look after booth-wise deployment of party workers during the polls.”
The committee, convened under party Vice President Deepak Prakash, consists of MlAs Shivshankar Oraon, Harikrishna Singh, Gangotri Kujur and party leader Sanjay Seth.
Rai further added, “For formulating the next financial budget, suggestions and expectations from the people have been invited, which are to be submitted by the party workers. The State Government is trying to formulate a budget which addressed the actual issues of common man.”
