“Charges were framed against the 52 absentee Medical Officers u/r-15 of the OCS (CC&A) Rules, 1962. Since the whereabouts of these absentee Medical Officers were not known, they were informed through notice published in the newspaper to appear and receive the charges. But there was no response as a result of which Government following the provisions of the OCS (CC&A) Rules, 1962 proposed to award the penalty of dismissal from service. Despite this none of the following Medical Officers responded to the notice published in the newspaper for which Government, after obtaining the concurrence of the OPSC decided to dismiss them from service in public interest,” said the notification.
