Knowledge is the greatest wealth as it can’t be stolen like other assets. One can spend this wealth to any extent but it will never get exhausted, stated Governor Balramji Dass Tandon while speaking at the Career Guidance Programme titled ‘Josh’ organized by Dr CV Raman University here on Monday.
He advised students to face difficulties with enthusiasm, dedication, honesty and patience. Educational qualification would be of no use to persons who do not develop these virtues. For moving ahead in life, students need to develop values,” he said.
The Governor opined that the programme organized by the varsity will spark energy and enthusiasm in students.
Presiding over the programme, State Higher Education Minister Prem Prakash Pandey said that wherever youth go, the place is filled with energy and giving direction to the energy is performed by motivators.
“Science and Technical Education have been taught in India from very ancient times and India had universities 5,000 years back. With change in time and situations, this institution has undergone sea changes. The youth of present day is facing huge pressure from society and family in terms of career. They should not make career their life but a part of life,” Minister Pandey said.
Secretary of Higher Education, Bl Agrawal informed that in all university campuses and over 450 colleges in the State, Wi-fi zones have been created. Students are being provided with laptops and tablets, which is aimed to make every citizen digitally empowered, he mentioned.
The occasion was marked with presence of Vice Chancellor of the University, Santosh Choubey, Bilaspur Division Commissioner Sonmoni Borah, students and faculty members of the university.
