Girl abducted and sexually assaulted in Gwalior

A 19-year old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted by a youth in Gwalior and Chhindwara. A case of sexual assault was registered at Shahpura police and search for the miscreant has been started.

According to the police, the victim used to remain in a hostel in Shahpura and had gone missing from the hostel more than a year ago and returned on Thursday along with her parents to lodge a complaint against Ankit Sahu who sexually exploited her luring for marriage.

During the investigation it was found that a missing complaint was lodged by the victim’s parent in the month of July 2014 after she went missing. Victim was searched by the police but failed to trace her in the city and in her home town Tamia of Chhindwara district but on Thursday the victim appeared at the Shahpura police station and raised allegations that she was captivated by Ankit Sahu of Tamia and was sexually assaulted, said the police.

Sahu took her to Gwalior to visit his ailing father where she was held captive and sexually assaulted. later, she was taken to Indore where she was sexually assaulted and finally returned to Bhopal and escaped few days ago and before leaving threatened the victim of her life.

Based on the complaint after preliminary investigations the police have registered a case under section 363, 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started search for the accused.

Details of Sahu are being searched by the police and the police officials are oft he opinion that he would be nabbed soon.
