Four-day all-India basketball tourney for girls starts today

Teams from many prominent schools would participate in four-day Welham Girls’ School Golden Jubilee All- India Basketball Tournament for girls starting from Thursday. The Head of Department of Physical education and sports at Welham Girls’ School, Vinod Vachani said that Yadavindra Public School Mohali Punjab, Pinegrove School,Solan, Himachal Pradesh, Motilal School of sports Rai,Sonepat,Haryana, Mody School, laxmangarh Sikar, Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls, School, Jaipur Rajasthan, Hopetown Girls’ School, Dehradun and Welham Girls School Dehradun would participate in the tournament. 

He informed that The Tournament will be inaugurated by the  Principal of Welham Girls’ School J Brar on April 30. Matches will be played in the Morning from 6 am to 8 am and in the evening from 4:15 pm to 7:30 pm. A total of 15 matches will be played in 4 days of the tournament on league cum knock out system.  He added that the tournament is affiliated to Basketball Federation of India (BFI).
