Five people were reportedly killed when the Dehradun-bound car they were in fell down a gorge at Masrana, Dhanaulti near Mussoorie on Tuesday evening.
The Mussoorie police launched a rescue operation upon being informed of the mishap by the locals. The bodies had not been identified till the time of this report being filed. The Mussoorie Police Station officer said that five passengers were in the car being driven from Uttarkashi to Dehradun when it met with the accident. It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall off the road into the gorge, added the police station officer.
