Engineers of Road Construction Department were on strike on Monday. They protested before executive engineer and demanding the arrest of the contractor Ravishankar Ram. The contractor Ram was alleged to assault junior engineer Rambalak Prasad. According to victim Rambalak Prasad, the contractor has pressurise him to present complete bill of an incomplete work and after denying the deed he beat and abused him.
The engineers’ association was on one-day pen down strike and warned department to take action against the contractor otherwise the strike would be continued till contractor’s arrest. The ire engineers allegedly told that Executive Engineer Birendra Kumar also supporting the accused. The sufferer Prasad has submitted an application at Telaiya Police Station to register a case against the contractor.
