The joint eviction team of BDA, BMC, GA, ASI and Commissionerate police on Wednesday cleared nearly 1.5 km road between Khandagiri and Udayagiri and around Khandagiri Square.
The Tourism and Culture Secretary had requested the eviction squad to clear the encroachments. While three iron, ten wooden cabins, ten temporary shops, one asbestos shop between Khandagiri and Udayagiri hill area were cleared eight temporary meat shops near Khandagiri police station were also demolished. Adequate security arrangements were made for the eviction drive.
