East Coast Railway General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi on Saturday personally inspected onboard services and catering unit of the Bhubbaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express while taking part in the ongoing Railway Passengers’ and Customers’ Fortnight, an official release informed.
He spoke to a few passengers about their expectations from Railways and sought their suggestions on improving train services.
On Friday, road shows and interaction with passengers were also held by Railway officials.
Senior Railway officers, including Heads of the Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of East Coast Railway are involved in the programme.
In view of this, different awareness drives including cleanliness drive “Swachh Rail-Swachh Bharat”, safety awareness drive at level crossings and security awareness drive to guard against drugging of passengers and theft of luggage are also being organised.
Besides, special drives on quality and hygienic catering services and on ticket checking are also being conducted daily at different railway stations under the ECoR jurisdiction. Punctuality of trains is also being monitored.IJ
