Durg's Central Jail inmates trained in various trades

When most often majority of the criminals who are sent to the gallows acquire the different strategies to exercise crimes from their inmates, the State Jail Department have come forward to train the prisoners in various fields so that they could find self-employment after their release. The prisoners in Durg Central Jail are being trained in various trades, officials stated.

About 160 prisoners are undergoing training in carpentry work, sewing, iron works, power looms, offset and screen printing and many other trades. Fifty prisoners are learning the making of computer table, benches, cots, deewan, sofa-sets, wooden temples and furniture.

Thirty-six prisoners in Durg Central Jail are learning offset and screen printing. They are being trained in making forms ,registers, pamphlets, books and school diaries. Forty-five prisoners are undergoing training in sewing, dress making and tailoring.They are being trained in making kurtas,  pyjamas, caps, banians, uniforms, salwar suits, blouse, safari-suits and shirts -trousers.

Twenty-eight prisoners are undergoing training in dual desk, single desk, steel chairs and tea-table making. Six prisoners are being trained on power looms to make handloom clothes.
