A 38-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death in an inebriated mood at Dashi village under Junagarh police limits on Wednesday.

The accused, Ram Nag (38) had a verbal duel with 32-year- old victim Harabati Nag. In a sudden fit of rage, Ram stabbed Harabati with a sharp knife on Tuesday night following which the latter collapsed on the spot. The accused then fled, leaving the body in the house. Police have registered an FIR in this connection and launched a manhunt to nab Ram. “The accused is evading arrest and efforts are on to nab him,” said  Junagarh police station OIC Abhya Behera, adding the incident came to the fore when the couple’s 6- year- old daughter informed to their neighbour.
