The students of Delhi Public School stole the limelight in a keenly contested inter-School quiz contest organised by BAlCO at Expert club here.In the contest, DPS got 175 points whereas New Era Progressive School put up a tough fight and came second with 170 points. BAlCO Township School came third with 105 points and M.G.M Higher Secondary School got 55 points in the Quiz Competition.
The first prize for showing exemplary performance on an individual basis was clinched by Ativa Rath of New Era Progressive School and the second prize for Individual Talent went to Chandan Shrivas of Delhi Public School. Rashmi Mishra of Balco Township School got a consolation prize for her Individual Performance in the Quiz Contest.
Office Bearer Vineeta Rai of Balco ladies Club was invited as chief guest for the Quiz Final. Addressing the programme, Vinneta Rai praised all the participants and added that in these types of competitions, no team loses but in fact all the teams get a chance to enhance their wisdom and also to experience a self evaluation.
Director of New Era Progressive School Dinesh lamba praised BAlCO for organising the Quiz Contest in a splendid way.He added that from the point of enhancing the wisdom bank of the participants and strengthening the foundation of the participants, the Quiz Contest was praiseworthy. He further said that such competitions inculcate a feeling of healthy competition among the children.
Head-Community Relations B.K.Sriwastwa said that the purpose behind organising the quiz contest was to increase the wisdom and confidence of the students.General Manager Administration of BAlCO, D.S. Bhati and Head-Information Technology Reena Sriwastwa, said that the experience the students had received in the Quiz Competition would help them prepare for the future.
