Motor roads to Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri have remained open while the bridle path to Kedarnath from Sonprayag is also open. However, dozens of rural motor roads have remained closed to traffic in various districts of the State.
According to information received from the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) the
Rishikesh-Kedarnath national highway 109 is open for small and large vehicles up to Sonprayag while the bridle path from Sonprayag to Kedarnath is open for pilgrims. In Uttarkashi district, the Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway 108 is open till Gangotri for small and large vehicles while the Rishikesh-Yamunotri national highway 94 is open for small and large vehicles up to Janakichatti.
However, five rural motor roads in the district are blocked. The water level in the Bhagirathi as per the 2 PM gauge report of Tiloth bridge on Thursday was 1120.36 metres with the danger level being 1122 metres. In Chamoli district the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway 58 is open till Badrinath for small and large vehicles. In Pauri district, six rural motor roads have remained blocked to traffic. The situation in Haridwar is reported to be normal with the level of water at 1 PM being 291.95 metres with the danger level being 294 metres. Four rural motor roads are blocked in the Dehradun district while nine rural motor roads are blocked in Tehri district. In Nainital district four motor roads are blocked while in Bageshwar district three motor roads are blocked to traffic. In the Pithoragarh district, the Tawaghat-Pangla-Garvadhar motor road is blocked by debris at Garvadhar.
