The Bhopalites tapped their feet on Sufi Music by a renowned Sufi singer Hans Raj Hans as he give a splendid performance on the concluding event of lokrang 2015 ‘Peer Parayi Jaane Na Re’. To observe the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a cultural event ‘Peer Parayi Jaane Na Re’ is held to mark the conclusion of lokrang Ravindra Bhavan every year. Under the event, Hans Raj Hans performed Sufi sangeet before the Bhopalites. Hans Raj Hans stands tall among all Sufi singers, with his unusual ability to present this genre of music in its truest form. His voice and style of singing is indeed suited to Sufi renditions. This noted Sufi artist is a Padam Shree Awardee, for his inimitable and significant contribution in the field of music.

Quoting about his love for Sufism, he said, “Indians hold a special love for Sufi Gayaki and that is why I enjoy more performing here, though I have performed across the globe.” The five-day event was observed with a lot of fervour by the citizens and artists from various countries were invited to showcase their art and culture on the platform where art appreciators enjoyed their performances enthusiastically.
