Even though a notice was served to a woman Indian Economic Service (IES) officer by the Odisha State Commission for Women (SCW) in connection with a moral turpitude case against senior IAS officer Taradatt, she did not appear before the commission on Friday.
According to sources, the commission had asked the Delhi-based IES officer allegedly linked to Taradatt to depose before the SCW here at 11 am on Friday. But she did not turn up. However, Taradatt’s wife Indulata Das, the complainant, deposed before the SCW. She has alleged that her husband and the IES officer have been in close relationship with each other.
Das had recently pleaded with the SCW to expedite probe into the case.
