Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri took a mathematics class of the students of 11th class of Nadia Hindu plus two high School. When he reached the school the classes of trigonometry was going on. He asked some basic questions from the students.
He taught the basic concepts of trigonometry. Firstly he went to 9th class and asked many questions writing on blackboards. Not getting the answers he solved many questions himself.
During the visit DC said to the students, “To get the knowledge there must be devotion. Without this we can not get success in life. The good relation between the students and threw teachers is the key to success. Student’s life is high time to learn and teach. There is no lack of talents in this school. But they must be inspired.”
He also took informations of the facilities made available in the school from the principal of the school. He assured to solve the problems. Bhajantri appealed the teachers to fulfill their duties sincerely a provide quality based education. If they would perform well in future, the name and fame of the school as well as district will be heightened. The extra curricular activities should also be encouraged.
Dc also told that he would give time to several schools once a week along with performing his administrative works. The talents of the students will be judged so that they may take much interest in studies.
DC said further, “For the preparation of IIT a total of 50 students will be selected. They would have to appear in an examination of the questions prepared by DC. After their counseling they would be given classes.”
DC directed the DSE to select teachers for mathematics, Chemistry and Physics and appoint them for taking classes. DC also inspected the infrastructure of the school included the number of bench and desks, laboratory, number of teachers, condition of building and directed to prepare a report. On the occasion DEO Urmila Kumari, DSE Prabala Khes, teacher Rahul Kumar and many others were present.
