Members of the cultural troupes from various States who performed with the State tableaux on the 66th Republic Day ;pain New Delhi will be visiting Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar and attend a special Ganga Arti at Rishikesh. The Ministry of Defence has planned the visit of these cultural troupes to Uttarakhand.The Uttarakhand Information and Public Relations Department assistant director and leader of Uttarakhand’s Republic Day tableau, KS Chauhan informed that as part of the Rashtriya Rangshala Shivir under the purview of the Ministry of Defence, about 500 artistes from 16 States will depart for Haridwar on January 31 midnight.
On February 1, they will attend a programme and lunch hosted by the Shantikunj Gayatri Peeth. After this programme, the artistes will visit Har-ki-Paidi and bathe in the Ganga. later at about 3 pm the artistes will depart for Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh. The Parmarth Niketan will organise a special Ganga Arti and dinner for the artistes. According to Chauhan, officials of the Ministry of Defence and leaders of the State tableaux will also attend these programmes. The artistes will leave for New Delhi at about 8 pm. Members of the cultural troupes from various states are enthusiastic about their Uttarakhand visit, he added.
