Cops launch campaign on anti-drug addiction

As a part of ‘Aastha Abhiyaan’, the district police have launched an anti-drug addiction campaign here at Gochiya village. A rally, comprising senior citizens, women and children, appealing people to stay away from drugs was taken out in the village on the occasion.

The police have conducted a camp to examine health of the villagers and for providing them smart cards under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Beema Yojana. As many as 65 applications for smart card were received of which 12 people were given smart cards on the spot.

In the camp, villagers were apprised of toll free number 1036 to register their complaints in case of atrocities against SC/ST category people, 1091 for the protection of women from violence.

SHO JS Saggu, Sub-inspector Mohan Khunte, Vedram Naik, Uttam Sahu and other personnel were present in the camp.
