Thursday, 30 April 2015 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

The Congress party launched massive counterattack against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after he wrote a letter to its president Sonia Gandhi over the infamous Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) or VYAPAM mega scam. Senior Congress legislator from the State and former leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh assembly Ajay Singh in a statement on Wednesday, said, “If the generator of the VYAPAM scam Chouhan is so much clean and really does not have anything to do with the biggest ever educational and recruitment scam of the country than why not he got it investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).”

Singh further said that during the tenure of Chouhan the biggest ever educational and recruitment scam of the country took place in that many leaders of his party the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), officials of the State Government and one of his former minister are in jail. The scam has darkened the future of thousands of brilliant students and forced several to commit suicide while it is directly linked with the Chief Minister house, despite that if he claims to be neat and clean than why did not he have it investigated through the CBI, he added.

Calling the Chief Minister Pundit Chouhan, he said that master of political puppetry Pundit Chouhan has done several misdeeds that proves that he has adopted several tactics to stop the truth from coming to fore in the mega scam of the state that is proving to be the water gate case of Madhya Pradesh. He said that ever since the VYAPAM scam came to light the Congress party and senior BJP leader and union minister Uma Bharti and now, the senior BJP leader considered as think tank of BJP have advocated for the CBI probe of the scam. The Chief Minister, who leaves no chance to boast of his honesty, always shy away from the CBI probe of the scam as his family is clearly involved, he added.
