Hundreds of Congress supporters under the banner of Town and Block Congress Committee on Monday organised a mass demonstration in front of the office of Executive Engineer, Cesu office here, protesting against unscheduled power cuts. They alleged that more than six to seven hours of unscheduled power cuts are done every day in the township.As result, the consumers have been facing unspeakable problems with high humidity and high temperature, they said.
later, the demonstrators submitted a memorandum to the Executive Engineer of Cesu, Kendrapada, by bringing to his notice to stop the power cuts. They demanded stoppage of regular power cuts and withdrawal of the recent electricity tariff hike. They warned of intensifying the stir if proper steps were not taken.
