In his attempt to rid Uttar Pradesh of power crisis Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate a 500 MW unit of Anapara D thermal power project on Tuesday, government spokesman said here. The spokesman said in a statement issued here on Monday that of the two 500 MW thermal power project one will become operational on march 31 while the second unit will start generating power by June 30 this year.

The construction of 2x500 MW thermal power project of Anpara D is carried out by Uttar Pradesh State Power Generation Corporation.
