The Central Government has sanctioned Rs100 crore under the Swadesh Darshan scheme for Chhattisgarh.
This was stated by State Tourism Minister Dayaldas Baghel during the World Tourism Day celebration held here on September 27.
He said the scheme covers the Tribal Tourism Circuit focussing the development of tourism facilities as well as extension of Jashpur, Sanna, Tatapani, Mainpat, Jagdalpur and Dantewada.
He further said the tourism spots would be developed on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model.
The State Government has proposed the setting up of a five-star hotel for the accommodation of foreign tourists. Moreover, the publicity of the tourist spots would be done at Railway stations, Airport and Bus stands, he said.
Baghel launched the mobile app of Chattisgarh Tourism Board on the occasion along with a book based on the road trip for Bastar Dusshera and other tourist spots of Chhattisgarh.
The winners of the various events organised on the occasion were felicitated.
