leader of Congress legislative Party (ClP) TS Singhdeo on Thursday demanded calling of a special session of the Chhattisgarh legislative assembly for discussing judicial commission report on Meena Khalkho encounter and the CAG report.
“Various sensitive issues related with public interest were not discussed in the House due to lack of time as the monsoon session winded up early on July 25. The House was scheduled to run from July 20 to 30 this month,” Singhdeo said in a letter addressed to the Governor, Speaker of State legislative Assembly and the Chief Minister.
He said that discussion over judicial report on Meena Khalkho encounter and CAG report which were presented in House on the last day was not held.
“The CAG report had exposed financial irregularities of around Rs 2,500 crore in various key departments and Swachch Bharat Mission. Since Meena Khalkho incident is directly connected with Tribal people and general public, it has remained undiscussed and discussion over the issue in the House is necessary,’ he said.
