Bus turns turtle; a dozen injured

More than a dozen passengers were injured after a bus turned upside down early in the morning on Thursday in Bilkharia; three passengers have sustained serious injuries in the accident.

According to the police, Indore bound bus of Om Sai Travels turned turtle in the morning after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it met accident.

At the time of the incident most of the passengers were asleep while the driver tired from continuous driving dozed off which resulted into accident. The bus was carrying passengers from Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh to Indore.

During the investigation police found that the driver dozed off due to which the incident took place and after the incident driver escaped the spot and is still missing.

Five passengers who sustained serious injuries were rushed where admitted in  the intensive care unit and three of them were critically injured were later transferred to critical care unit claimed the police.

After the incident traffic was disrupted for few hours and later it was removed to make the traffic flow smooth.

The police have registered a case of careless driving against the errant driver and have started search for the accused driver. Police have started investigation into the matter and claimed that the accident occurred due to driver’s mistake or due to some other reason could not be revealed at the moment and could be revealed later. Critically injured patients are undergoing treatment at JP hospital while those who sustained were discharged after providing primary treatment. No casualty was reported in the incident.
