Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited (BSNl) has launched free roaming for its mobile subscribers.launching the service here, Chief General Manager Telecom, BSNl Punjab Circle, R C Hooda said, “BSNl subscribers will not need to carry multiple SIMs and handsets during roaming. They are now free to talk as long as they want without worrying of any charges during incoming calls”.
Hooda gave details of the initiatives and projects of BSNl. Referring to Digital India, he said in the first phase in Punjab Circle, about 6000 Gram Panchayats are to be connected on Optical Fibre by laying about 8000 kms of cables, He said till date, about 2000 Km of cable has been laid and 1100 gram panchayats brought under Optical Fibre Cables and have also been tested for high speed internet and voice services.
