light and brief showers were witnessed in the city on Monday providing relief from the restless weather conditions.The city recorded day temperature at 35.1 degree Celsius which was two degree Celsius above the normal temperature and the night temperature was recorded at 25.4 degree Celsius which was one degree Celsius above the normal temperature. Rains have shied away from the State and the State capital which has raised the temperatures making the weather conditions little harsh and would make the weather conditions harsher in the present weather pattern which would prevail for the next few days.
The predictions made by the Met department of good rainfall in the state and state capital around June 30 and July 1 would take longer and would have to wait till July 3-4 for goods rains said Met officials. Except North- Eastern region of the state the rains across the other regions have ceased and would take time to arrive and make the weather conditions soothing and provide relief from the abrupt weather conditions. On Monday Satna received 5 cm of rainfall, Guna received 2 mm of rainfall and Sagar received 3 mm of rainfall. Met department has issued warning of heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours in Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Alirajpur, Rewa, Satna and Datia. City would witness cloudy conditions but would not induce rainfall. The city would witness a lull phase in which the lack of rainfall would be witnessed. The citizens are facing problems with hot and humid conditions.
Cloudy conditions would be witnessed in the city but possibilities of good rainfall are very less. low pressure area over Bay of Bengal which has induced rainfall heavy rains over Uttaranchal, UP and Bihar would induce rainfall but the movement is sluggish causing delay. Among the major cities Indore recorded the highest temperature at 35 degree Celsius. Gwalior recorded 2 cm in the past 24 hours. Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 34 degree Celsius the region received 1 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
