The Odisha BPUT Students’ Association celebrated its annual festival Allegretto-2015 amid much fanfare here on Tuesday evening.
Technical Education Minster Sanjay Kumar Dasburma joined the event as chief guest while MlA Priyadarshi Mishra and BJD students’ wing president president and MlA Byamokesh Ray as guests of honour.
Several students of various engineering colleges in the State participated in the function and presented cultural performances followed by a bike stunt show by the BPUT students. later, the students were distributed with prizes. Besides, the Youth Icon Award for 2015 was given to international-level athlete sprinter Dutee Chand.
Performances by participants of national reality shows Star Voice of India and Indian Idol were the main attraction of the event. BPUT Vice-Chancellor Prof Shyamsundar Pattnaik, Odisha Engineering College Director Suprita Pattnaik and BPUT Students’ Union president Parthasarathi Muduli were present, among others.
