BMC work is on to ensure toilets in every house

Monday, 31 August 2015 | PNS | Gwalior

There are nearly 50,000 families that go for defecation in the open. This condition has become a great challenge for cleanliness drive. The municipal
corporation could not conduct a survey of such families properly.

For the last 5 to 6 months, the municipal corporation is collecting information about the houses that do not have toilets. The corporation staff, including sub-engineers, are careless about this. The municipal corporation is highly irresponsible in case of cleanliness drive included in the dream projects of PM Narendra Modi.

The municipal corporation could collect information of only 16,565 houses which have facilities of toilets. In the review meeting nearly half a dozen sub engineers were absent, hence the additional commissioner announced with holding of one increment each of sub engineers.

According to the information survey report of many areas has not reached the municipal corporation. Families in large numbers living in the slum areas are left out. Thousands of people working on construction places have also been leftout.

The additional commissioner Ml Daulatani said that personal toilets are being constructed in the houses without toilets by the municipal
corporation. This is an important drive of the Government and no irresponsibility would be tolerated.

Banks warned
Gwalior: District collector Sanjay Goyal has warned all the bankers that the loan cases under self employment scheme should not be rejected with any reason. The returning of cases in the last 3 months of financial year would not be accepted.Disciplinary action would be proposed against such bank officers.
