BJP's top brass too lauds Modi

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentarians from the State including Union Ministers and State president have expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing `2033 crore compensation for drought-hit farmers of Madhya Pradesh from the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF).

BJP MP and state president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thanwarchand Gehlot and Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar in separate statements thanked the PM Modi for providing relief to the drought hit farmers of the state.

Chouhan in his statement over the issue said that the package would work as an ointment for the drought hit farmers. “PM by providing relief package under NDRF felt the pain of the farmers and proved that the BJP government of the centre is always with the farmers,” he added.

Gehlot said that the relief package by the prime minister would provide relief to the peasants. “Modi government is providing more money to the states than the earlier Congress regime so that the drought conditions could be dealt with and the peasant’s loss could be reimbursed,” he added.

Tomar said that this package would certainly help the drought hit farmers. “looking at the pain of the drought hit farmers of the state prime minister has supported them. Farmers of the state need not to worry as the Modi government of the centre and Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state stands beside them at every step,” he added.

The senior BJP leaders have also thanked Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and said that the relief package provided by the central government would wipe out the tears of the drought hit farmers of the state and reflects the commitment of BJP that it standby with the farmers.
