The BJP on Wednesday slammed the State Government ‘for flouting Supreme Court order vis-à-vis publication of Ministers’ photos in Government advertisements’.
In a letter, party spokesperson Sajjan Sharma brought to the Chief Minister’s notice that photo of Forests and Environment and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Aruth had been printed in a Rural Development Department advertisement in Brahmapur edition of an Odia daily on December 23.
“The Minister’s photo publication has violated the Supreme Court order that restricts publication of photos of Chief Ministers and Minister in Government advertisements. It has also tarnished the image of the State,” Sharma mentioned in the letter.
He demanded a high-level inquiry be conducted into the matter and stringent actions against the guilty leader and officers.
