The Bhopalites will witness the journey of the legendary singer of Bollywood, Mohammad Rafi in a unique way.

A musical programme ‘Sur Yatra’ is being organised in the memory of Bollywood evergreen playback singer Mohammad Rafi at Manas Bhavan. Organised by Ustad Alaudin Khan Academy of Art and Music, the programme will be held here on Monday.

It is to be noted that earlier similar programme was organised in the memory of music composer Madan Mohan. This time ti is being organised to pay a tribute to Mohammad Rafi.

Mohammad Rafi is known amongst the finest singers of Bollywood. He gave his melodious voice to actors like Sashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Raj Babbar, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bacchan and many more and made their songs an evergreen hit tracks. Mohammad Rafi has given his voice in more than 4,000 compositions and all are remembered as his best of best performances.

To pay tribute to such great artist, Ustad Alaudin Khan Academy is presenting the programme. To remember the playback singer, a short documentary will be presented.

The documentary will showcase Mohammad Rafi’s whole life journey and his love and passion for music. The documentary is a compilation of few interviews and old photographs that will showcase the life span of Rafi.

Also during the programme a musical concert will be orghanised. In the musical concert, the singers will presente selected 24 songs of Mohammad Rafi including songs like Chahe Koi Mujhe, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai and many more. The programnme would be a real treat for adherent lovers of Mohammad Rafi.
