Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research, Balawala, organized a voluntary blood donation camp in the Institute premises on the occasion of martyrs day on Friday. The camp was organised in association with Uttarakhand chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA).
The students and staff of the college donated 250 Units of blood on the occasion. The Chairman of the Institute, S P Singh, Managing Secretary Dr. Gaurav Deep Singh, Director F C Garg, and Convener of the Blood Donation Club Dr. Mk Chakraborty motivated the students to donate the blood on the occasion . The students were told that by donating one unit of blood life of three patients can be saved.
The blood donation and collected was conducted by the IMA team of Dr. Manish Sharma, Mr. Kamal Sahu, Preeti Negi,.Priyanka Negi and Ms.Tanuja. The Blood donation camp was also attended by Rotarians President Rakesh Malhotra, Dr. S.Farooq, Dr. Swadesh Bansal and Dr. Sl Gupta
