The State Government on Saturday cautioned people against fake job offers under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana.
A release issued by the Finance Department said some miscreants are contacting youths over phone and asking them to deposit money in a certain bank account while promising them a post titled Grahaak Seva Pratinidhi with a monthly salary of `30,500. They are also issuing fake appointment letters in this regard.
“People should be aware of these fraudsters. No such appointment has so far been announced under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana,” the release said.
It also informed that the department has asked the State Crime Branch to make an inquiry and take appropriate steps accordingly.
The department has also requested the people to inform about the fake appointment letters if they receive immediately at toll-free number 1800-345-7105.
