The Special Judge for CBI cases, here on Friday found guilty a senior manager of Central bank of India, Arera Hills Branch, a builder and one more for processing a housing loan fraudulently and incurring a loss of Rs113.66 lakh to the Bank.
CBI Bhopal Branch had registered a case under sections 120-B, 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC and under sections 13(2) and 13 (1) (d) of the PC Act, 1988 on February 4, 2010, on the basis of written complaint lodged by AK Jain, Regional Manager, Central Bank of India, Bhopal.
It was alleged in the complaint that during the period of 2007 to 2009, Vasant Pawse, the then senior Manager, Central Bank of India, Arera Hills Branch, Bhopal with Brajesh Singh, Proprietor of M/s Rajdhani Construction and Developers and a private person Rajendra Prasad Tiwari entered into a criminal conspiracy in the matter of processing of Housing loan and by abusing his official position, caused a wrongful loss of Rs 113.66 lakh to the Bank.
A charge-sheet in the case was filed on 30.07.2011 in the court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal.
Under different sections, Pawase has been sentenced imprisonment of three years to two years’ rigorous imprisonment. A fine of Rs 10,000 has also been imposed on each of the four sections. The builder has been sentenced for similar period imprisonment in three different sections and similar amount of fine has been imposed in all the three sections.
