Hundreds of workers of five trade unions including HMS, INTUC, AITUC, CITU and HMS held demonstration at the Jagannatth Project of the MCl protesting the move of the Central Government to go in for mining privatisation by 10 per cent. Burning an effigy of PM Narendra Modi, they said that the Modi Govt had assured all the agitating trade unions of the coal mines to consult with the mine workers before going for outsourcing in mining operation under CIl when there was a national level strike in December last.
