Members of the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) State Council on Monday staged a demonstration near the Governor’s House demanding resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for helping lalit Modi to get international travel document.
In a statement, AIDSO State secretary Shibasis Praharaj said the BJP leaders had helped former IPl chairman lalit Modi, who is a fugitive as per the Indian law, to secure international travel document which was illegal and unfortunate.He also demanded stringent action against lalit Modi to make it an example for the future. The AIDSO criticised Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani for misrepresentation of educational qualifications and assets in the election affidavits. The activists demanded resignation of the Ministers and setting up of a high power judicial committee to investigate the scam to bring out the truth.
