After light showers late on Sunday night, cloudy weather conditions were witnessed in city on Monday making the day hot and humid. In the past 24 hours, several areas of the State witnessed rainfall and the pattern remained same, which was light and for brief periods. Met department claims that the weather pattern would continue to remain same for the next 2-3 days. Weather could remain at present levels and no significant change would be witnessed in the next 24 hours.

Night temperatures  were recorded above the normal temperature while the day temperatures were recorded below the normal temperature. Warning of thundery activities and hailstorm  in Indore, Hoshangabad, Harda, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhnapur regions has been issued by the Met department. Few regions of Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore and Hoshangabad divisions would witness light showers in the next 24 hours and at few places in Gwalior and Chambal light showers would be witnessed.

The day temperatures would be recorded around 37 degrees Celsius while the night temperatures would be recorded around 19 degrees Celsius. Khargone recorded the highest day temperature at 41 degrees Celsius while the lowest night temperature was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius in Rewa. The systems formed over the adjoining States have induced the weather changes and would remain till Tuesday and the intensity would decrease later. Although hot and humid conditions were witnessed in the city, but still the city recorded day temperature below normal temperature at 35 degrees Celsius while the night temperature was witnessed around 22 degrees Celsius.
