About 47,862 quintal grams (chana) has been allotted to the ration card-holders of the designated Scheduled areas of the State, a Government statement informed on Wednesday.
The allocation is meant for the month of January 2016. The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department in a said that the allocation of 'chana' is meant for 19 districts.
The grams are meant for the Below Poverty line card-holders, Antyodaya card-holders and Priority card-holders. They are given two-kg 'chana' a month at the rate of Rs 5 a kilo.
According to the allotment order for Korba district four thousand 934 quintal grams, Surguja district four thousand 436 quintal, Jashpur district three thousand 955 quintal, Surajpur district three thousand 868 quintal, Balrampur-Ramanujganj district three thousand 470 quintal, Raigarh district three thousand 323 quintal, Bilaspur district three thousand 204 quintal, Korea district two thousand 763 quintal, Gariyaband district one thousand 879 quintal, Rajnandgaon district one thousand 106 quintal, Dhamtari district 755 quintal, Bastar district three thousand 591 quintal, North Bastar ( Kanker) district two thousand 950 quintal, Kondagaon district two thousand 397 quintal, South Bastar (Dantewada) district one thousand 417 quintal, Bijapur district one thousand 215 quintal, Sukma district one thousand 435 quintal, Narayanpur district 590 quintal and Balod district 572 quintal 'chana' had been allocated for the month of January.
