46-year old woman robbed of valuables

A 46-year old woman was robbed of a handbag carrying valuables worth Rs60,000 near Mansarowar complex under Habibganj police station area late on Sunday night. In the incident, the victim sustained serious injuries after she fell along with her daughter from scooter. Malti Batham was robbed of her purse by two bike-borne miscreants while she along with her daughter was on her way to her residence in Kolar. In the robbery, the victims lost balance and fell from the scooter.

The victims were rushed to a Narmada hospital where victim’s daughter was discharged after few hours while the victim is still undergoing treatment and reportedly, her condition is stable. A case was lodged by the victim with the Habibganj police and in the complaint, the victim claimed that the she had gone to visit her daughter’s in-laws in Barkhedi and the incident occurred when she was on her way to Kolar with her daughter.

The victims sustained minor injuries after their scooter fell due to the sudden attack by the miscreants. One mobile phone, two gold bangles, two gold finger rings, one bracelet, three ATM cards and Rs5,000 cash were in the bag, which was robbed by the bike-borne miscreants. Incident occurred at around 11 pm and after the incident as the two fell, they were not able to notice any details of the bike-borne miscreants. The commuters rushed to her rescue while the miscreants escaped the spot. The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
