A 35-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Singarcholi railway tracks under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Tuesday.

According to the police, the body was spotted by the locals in the morning on Tuesday and police were informed. Subsequently, a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.

The deceased was identified as Sunish Krishnan who used to work at Jawahar Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research hospital. The deceased hailed from Kerala and used to live at the cancer hospital campus.

SHO of Koh-e-Fiza police Ashwini R Negi said that the deceased used to work with the nursing staff, he

used to remain alone at the quarters and his family resides in Kerala. The family has been informed and they would reach the city by tomorrow which could

help in finding the reason of the death.

In the initial investigation it has to be investigated that how the deceased reached the railway track. The body has been sent for the post mortem and after receiving the post mortem report further details could be revealed, he added.

The hospital management was informed regarding the death of the deceased.

The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.

The body was found at around 9 am under suspicious circumstances and the investigation into the matter has been started. Deceased committed suicide or it was an accident or he was murdered could not ascertained and would be investigated.
