As per the direct recruitment policy for the sportsperson of the State, in the first phase 31 sports achievers of the State would get direct recruitment in a function at Kalinga Stadium here on April 30, said an official of the Sports and Youth Services Department.
Rosanara Parwin, Madhuri Meheta (both women cricketer), Rasmita Sahoo (Kabaddi), Pratima Puhan, Pramila Prava Minz (both Rowing) would get the appointment as sub-inspector), 25 would get the constable job and one to get sepoy post as per their achievements. Rosanara and Madhuri represented the nation in the ICC Women’s World Cup and T20 World Cup respectively. Kabaddi player Rasmita was the member of the national team and the team bagged gold medal in the world kabaddi meet held at Patna in India.
Pramila and Pratima was bagged bronze medal in the double squall event in 6th Asian Games at Guangzhou in China in 2014. More than 500 application were came for consideration but we have checked out 29 women and two men candidature for the first phase recruitment, said an official of Sports and Youth Services Department.
