The Haryana Government has decided to give one-time rebate of 30 per cent to such property owners who have cleared all property tax dues for the years 2010-11 to 2012-13 up to August 31, 2015.Besides, one-time waiver of interest on the arrears of property tax pending from 2010-11 to 2014-15 would also be allowed to those tax payers who pay their arrears up to August 31, 2015.
The Urban local Bodies Department has issued a notification to this effect.An official spokesman on Monday said that in case of those who had already deposited tax, the excess amount, if any, would be adjusted against their future property tax liabilities, without any interest, provided they clear all the dues, including the property tax for 2015-16, up to August 31, 2015.The rebate of 10 per cent would be admissible to those assesses who pay their total tax by July 31 of that assessment year.
For 2015-16, a rebate of 10 per cent would be admissible to such assesses as deposit the due tax up to August 31, 2015, said the spokesperson.In case of late payment, interest at the rate of 1.5 per cent per month or part thereof, would be charged. The one-time waiver of interest on the arrears of property tax pending from 2010-11 to 2014-15 would be allowed to all tax payers, if they pay their arrears up to August 31, 2015, he added.
