8,361 included in service voters’ list
Bhopal: Names of 8,361 persons have been included in service voters’ list during the campaign conducted in this regard on the directives of Election Commission of India. With this, number of service voters in the list has gone up to 33,181. Maximum 469 names have been included in Ambah Vidhan Sabha constituency in Morena district followed by 371 in Gwalior Rural Assembly constituency and 315 in Bhind. The process was started from May 31. Of 230 Vidhan Sabha constituencies, new names have been included in 197 constituencies. CEO office has directed all Collectors to publish electoral rolls by July 31. Postal ballots are sent to service voters during elections. They are given facility of proxy voting. Service voters can exercise their franchise by appointing a member of his family or acquaintance as proxy.
Candidates can apply for guest faculty
Bhopal: Candidates can apply for posts of guest faculty in Government colleges till August 5. Applicants can get their documents verified from any identified Government college from July 23 to August 8. Applicants who have worked as guest faculties earlier will be given preference. Details regarding this can be seen on website of Higher Education department.
Registration of hearing-impaired students
Bhopal: Registration of hearing-impaired students for admission to Dl Ed on MP Online Portal will be held from July 31 to August 4. Institution can be selected from August 1 to 4. If an applicant of this category has already applied for admission in Dl Ed., he will get information about it at MP Online Portal. On state government’s instructions, horizontal reservation instead of 2 percent will be given to hearing impaired in this admission process.
Admission of deprived children
Bhopal: The Government has directed all District Collectors to ensure admission of children of deprived and weaker sections against vacant seats in non-aided private schools. This year also, 3-phase process has been prescribed for free of cost admission of children of deprived and weaker sections in private schools under Children’s Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE). The Government has received information that seats have remained vacant in some schools. The Government has prescribed arrangements for free admission of eligible children against remaining vacant seats. Accordingly, schools have been asked to give admission directly if any child of deprived sections living in neighbourhood or expanded neighbourhood. Admission should be given on “first come first serve” basis and not on random selection basis since number of applications will be less than available seats. Any parent/guardian can apply in prescribed proforma for admission to concerning DEO who will forward it to concerning school, where child will be given admission on availability of seat. The government has also directed to apprise all private schools of the prescribed process.
