Programme for panchayat polls announced

Bhopal: State Election Commission has announced programme for Panchayats general/by-elections-2015 first half. Polling will be held on July 22 from 7 am to 3 pm. Voting will be held for 11 posts of Janpad Panchayat member, 128 sarpanch and 31,276 posts of panch. EVMs will be used for polling of Janpad Panchayat member and ballot papers for elections of sarpanchs and panchs.  Secretary State Election Commission GP Shrivastava informed that issuance of election notification and process to accept nominations will begin from July 1. July 8 is the last date for with submission of nominations, which will be scrutinized on July 9. Candidates can withdraw nominations by July 11. Election symbols will be allotted to candidates on July 11 and polling will be held on July 22.  Counting of votes for posts of panchs will be held at polling booths soon after completion of polling. Votes for sarpanch and Janpad Panchayat members will be counted on July 25 at development block headquarters. Results of elections for panch’s post will be announced from 10.30 am on July 23 and sarpanch and Janpad Panchayat members on July 5. Model code of conduct has come into force in concerning areas with announcement of elections, which will remain effective till announcements of results.

 

CM Helpline: Govt to take action

Bhopal: Process is on to take action against personnel negligent in redressal of complaints received on CM Helpline 181. Show cause notice for initiating disciplinary action have been issued to Sidhi district’s Revenue Inspector Sunil Kumar Dwivedi and patwari Rana Bahadur Singh for negligence and indifference towards redressal of complaints received on CM Helpline. The notices have been issued by District Collector Vishesh Garhpale. Applicant Ram Kumar Sharma of village Akauri had applied for demarcation. In the case, despite order of tahasildars the patwari continued to delay the work demanding money. Following it, the applicant registered a complaint on CM Helpline. Concerning Patwari presented report of demarcation without doing it. On its basis, the case was registered as disposed of on CM Helpline. Tahasildar issued a letter to Revenue Inspector and patwari to appear before him, but they neither undertook demarcation nor appeared before tahasildars. In the case, show cause notices have been issued against both the personnel. Similarly, directives have been given in Betul district to ensure sending school students’ caste certificates under campaign to issue the certificates to public service centres by June 30. The District Collector has said that concerning Jan-Shikshaks will be held responsible for negligence in this work and action taken against him. Similarly, initiative will be taken to cancel recognition of private school committing negligence in issuing caste certificates to students.

 

Education officials to inspect Pvt schools

Bhopal: The State Government has directed Joint Directors School Education and Regional Officers of Board of Secondary Education to conduct inspection of concerning private institutions before given them recognition to conduct Dl Ed. course. Officers have been authorized to conducted surprise inspections of institutions. They have been directed to submit report by June 30 after inspections. Directives have been given to obtain list of institutions for surprise inspections from Education College of concerning division. Divisional Joint Director Public Instructions will be the nodal officer for surprise inspections. Officers have been directed to do this work within time-limit on top priority.

 

Civic body officials visit Sharda Nagar

Bhopal: To inspect the basic amenities to the citizens by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mayor Alok Sharma along with MlA of Berasia Vishnu Khatri visited Sharda Nagar and lamba Kheda areas on Monday. The Mayor on Monday visited Sharda Nagar and lamba Kheda localities falling under ward number 79 and heard the problems of the local residents. He ordered to construct the main road of Sharda Nagar phase-1, with cement concrete. He also ordered to prepare a plan for construction of approach road in the next stage. He asked the officials to clean the drains with the help of pokelane and JCB machines, to illuminate Sharda Nagar with five sodium vapour lamps, to build wall of government school, and to build a boundary wall behind Sharda Nagar.

In the discussion with citizens, Alok Sharma asked the officials to write the Electricity department to replace the power supply of Sharda Nagar with the urban feeder from rural.  He also ordered to extend BRTS bus service upto lamba Kheda. Discussing with the locals he said that the area has came under Municipal Corporation jurisdiction from Panchayat and thus planned development of the area will take place under BMC.
