888 blood units collected at Binjharpur camp Jajpur
As many as 888 units of blood were collected from Jeevan Bindu blood donation camp, organised by Binjharpur MlA Pramila Mallick in Jajpur district Sunday. Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das said collection of 888 blood units was a milestone achievement and it would inspire local youths to organise such camp in the future. MlA Pranab balabantaray said he would extend his patronage to such camp in future. Among others, lok Sabha member Rita Tarai and Badachana MlAs Amar Prasad Satpathy and Akash Nayak spoke on the occasion.
Women’s College common room inaugurated
Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda MlA Naba Kishore Das on Monday inaugurated a newly-constructed common room of the Jharsuguda Women's College. The room is constructed at an estimated cost of Rs9 lakh by the Ultratech Cement under its CSR policy. In a meeting with the college staff and managing committee, MlA Das said the prospective land acquisition process would be expedited for future expansion of the college and its new hostel would have 100 beds. Among others, college principal and lecturers were present.
IOCl opens community hall at Bagadia
Jagatsinghpur: The Indian Oil Corporation ltd (IOCl) Paradip Refinery has dedicated a community hall for the residents of Bagadia panchayat under Kujang block on the outskirts of Paradip town under its CSR programme. The hall, built at a cost of Rs19.60 lakh, was inaugurated by Paradip IOCl DGM (HR) AK Verma. Solar streetlight facility and a bore well have been made in the premises of the hall. Earlier, residents had approached the IOCl for constructing a community hall at the village.
