Town Club enter Junior Cricket league semis
Bhubaneswar: The host Town Club entered the semifinal of the Junior Cricket league by defeating Mukteswar Cricket Club by two wickets here on Saturday. Batting first, Mukteswar scored 123 runs by losing eight wickets in 30 overs. In reply, Smurti Ranjan Swain scored 24 runs and Town Club reached the winning target in 29.1 overs. Smruti of the winning team bagged the man of the match award.

Sandipan, Himanshu lead in KIIT Chess Fest
Bhubaneswar: Indian GM Sandipan Chanda forced the top seed Ukraine GM Alexander Zubov to shared the points in the ninth round and scored seven points. Indian IM Himanshu Sharma defeated Bangladesh GM Rahman Ziaur and gathered seven points. Sandipan and Himanshu jointly lead by the end of ninth round in the 8th KIIT International Chess Festival here on Saturday. Basketball Summer Camp Concluded
Bhubaneswar: To encourage the budding talents of the city between the age group of 8 to 16 years (boys and girls) the basketball coaches of Kalinga Stadium were organised summer camp of basketball, which concluded at Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday. This camp is a regular feature of the stadium since 2001. The campers learnt the basic fundamentals of basketball through fun and drill method. The campers received the certificate on the concluding day. Altogether 198 students were participated in the camp.
