Paswan assures assistance on FSA

Ranchi: Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Saryu Roy on Wednesday called on Union Food and Civil Supplies Minster, Ramvilas Paswan to apprise the Union Minister of status of PDS in Jharkhand. Roy also apprised Paswan of the problems related to PDS in Jharkhand. Paswan assured Roy that all possible help will be provided for implementing Food Security Act in Jharkhand.

JSPl expresses shock over FIR

Ranchi: JSPl has expressed shock over filling of FIR against company’s Chairman Naveen Jindal by the CBI in coal block allocation scam. “We are shocked to know from the media about filing of a chargesheet by CBI with respect to allocation of a coal block. The said allocation was made to the company on merits. During the course of the investigation the company and its officials fully co-operated with the authorities, and whenever asked, explained and provided all the supporting documents. We deny all allegations made against our company and its management. We will be availing appropriate remedy in accordance with law. We have full faith in our judiciary and are confident to come out clean during the process,” said a communiqué from the compnay.

FJCCI delegation meets Guv

Ranchi: A delegation of FJCCI on Wednesday called upon Governor Syed Ahmed and said that Mahua contrary to the reports is an intoxicant. The delegation said some people are misusing the produce as intoxicating substance and actions must be taken against those people.

Ward election process started

Ranchi: Activities for election of councillor for ward-39 started on Wednesday. As per the notification issued, nomination can be filed between May 2 to May 8, scrutiny will be done on May 9, last date for withdrawing nomination is May 11. list of documents required for filing nomination has been released by the office of DEO.
