ONGC hospital gets emergency, maternity block
Dehradun: The new Emergency and Maternity Block of ONGC Hospital was formally inaugurated by DD Misra, Director (HR), ONGC, in a brief function held at headquarters, Dehradun on Monday. The renovated wing includes the Triage room, emergency ward, ECG room, observation room, minor OT and main ICCU, and the male and female day-care room. The hospital now has a pantry for the family of the patients admitted and a medical store room. An acute room for the patients with prolonged illnesses who need 24 hours medical attention has alo been added. Speaking about the online PME system, Misra said that this can be used to create a data bank and record the health history of the employees which will be of significant benefit for the doctors while treating a patient.
Jain becomes Education Evangelist of the Year
Dehradun: Tula’s Institute director Silky Jain was presented the Education Evangelist of the Year award at a program organised by Skill Tree, a global knowledge consortium. In the year 2012, Silky Jain was also credited for having introduced India’s first remote robotic lab at Tula’s Institute. An annual initiative of Skill Tree, the award ceremony was preceded by a month long TV series aired on a national English news channel. Showcasing the dynamic contribution of these 17 individuals, the series documented the journey of each Education Evangelist of 2015.
DGP inaugurates Nazeer’s Delicacies in State
Dehradun: The Director General of State police BS Siddhu inaugurated Dehradun unit of restaurant chain ‘Nazeer’s Delicacies’ at Gandhi Road here on Monday. The Director of the restaurant Mohammed Shamim Sheikh said that after recognising increasing demand for good food and casual dine in restaurants in Dehradun the Nazeer’s Delicacies took initiative to start a unit here. “We don’t go by recipes, we create our own and that is what differentiates us from other players in the market” claimed Sheikh. He informed that Nazeer is an authentic Indian and Mughlai cuisine restaurant that fuses the exquisite taste of aromatic Indian spices with an age old traditional cooking style which dates back over 100 years
